I think the real problem here is that big media corporations seem to believe that social media userbases are fungible, and persist in acting on this belief no matter how many times it’s demonstrated to be wrong.
There’s a specific pattern of events that plays out over and over (and over) again, and it looks something like this:
1. Social media platform becomes popular
2. Social media platform is purchased by big media corporation in order to gain access to it large user base
3. Big media corporation realises that social media platform’s demographics are not the demographics they want to sell things to.
4. Big media corporation institutes measures to drive away “undesirable” users, apparently in the honest belief that the outgoing users will automatically be replaced by an equal number of new, more demographically desirable users
5. This does not, in fact, occur
6. Social media platform crashes and burns
You’d think that, by the sheer law of averages, at least one person who’s capable of learning from experience would become involved in this whole process at some point.
Loki returns from some time away doing Loki things (trickery, backstabbery, and being sexy I suppose) to find his most dedicated follower keeping his bed warm. This pleases Loki, though he’s not entirely thrilled that the listener has been enjoying themselves without him. He decides that before deciding what to do with them, he’ll show off one of the spoils from his time away, a dagger. Though, Loki’s idea of “showing off” this blade has some…interesting implications.
Contains: Fem!Listener, knife play that contains some very careful showing of how sharp the blade is followed by fucking the listener with the hilt, wow writing it out like that made me do a double take, implied that Loki is going to give some oral at some point after the also implied dicking he’s going to give the listener.
Tumblr has killed links in posts, so I can’t actually link you to my Patreon, but if you manually go to Patreon dot com forward slash YuuriVoice you’ll find my entire archive of work and other goodies! You can find me on Twitter and YouTube, where I can post links and reliably post without fear of being deleted for no reason!
i dont really… WANT… to leave tumblr. ive been here since 2011
no other platform has the right format for me to just randomly barf actual thoughts, joaks, and genuine creative content all in the same breath. i dont know how to compartmentalize
every other platform you gotta be a real person. Here you are you’re icon and username and whatever your hyperfixation is at the current moment
on tumblr you can make a post that just says “minecraft” and get 50k notes, where on twitter you have to steal tweets and instagram you have to be hot. tumblr is more like a bunch of kids let loose in walmart where there are no rules and the only god is a bald swedish man
Hello everyone!! ^0^/ I would just like to share my personal thoughts and plans with this blog. (I apologize for the lengthy post!!)
Because of all the recent changes happening here on this site, I’ve decided to focus and direct my efforts onto other social media platforms that are more welcoming, accepting and supportive of its content creators. It’s been a really upsetting and frustrating month for many, especially because this platform allowed us to create and grow with our fandoms and communities. To see so many fellow content creators removed so suddenly and without any warning leaves me (and many others) reeling from the after-affects. And as much as I love my art blog here, I’ve become much more hesitant to share my works on a site that does not offer proper methods and protection for any of its content creators.
It honestly hurts, a lot, to feel the need to leave this place. Especially because I started here and have grown so much as an artist over the years. Without you guys, I wouldn’t even be here right now. I wouldn’t have had the drive, the support, and the love to pursue my art more seriously. And recently, this blog just went over 4K followers ((*inner me* 4K??!!? For real?!?! Where the heck did you guys come from?!)). I would have loved to make a milestone offer for a couple of free commissions as a huge thank you, but at the moment I am still swamped with zine work, so it might take some time for me to do something like that (either here or on twitter when it happens, I’ll make a post about it when I’m able/ready to!)
I am eternally grateful for the amount of likes, reblogs, messages, asks, conversations, collaborations, friends, and followers that I’ve gained from this place. ❤
I am not deleting this blog.
But this blog will stay only as an announcement blog and art portfolio for future zines/projects. I will only post new art here if it has an affiliation with tumblr blogs/creators/projects. All of my attention and other works will be shared elsewhere.
★
Main reach will be Twitter: https://twitter.com/sulkingmoon – This is like the main hub where I can direct everyone and everything. All my art posts, ideas, plans, updates, etc. will be shared here.
★
Possible new art blog will be Pillowfort: I will share the link when the site is up and running! – This is going to be a very new experience for me, and things will still be in a “testing stage”, but it could potentially be a new platform for me to grow with my followers and friends!
