く is Ku (hiragana)

コ is Ko (katakana)

ミ is Mi (katakana)

also the japanese keyboard allows you to make different sizes of katakana which allows for squid size variation like so:

くコ:ミ

くｺ:ミ

くｺ:ﾐ
