So I’m sure this isn’t everyone’s experience, but it was an interesting contrast to observe.
When I was in the US, even from a young age, I used to get a lot of flak for having and/or wanting short hair. I eventually grew it out, but never was happy with it, and recently I’ve been getting it cut shorter and shorter. I was really nervous b/c I wasn’t sure if it really worked on me, but right from the day I got it cut, I got compliments from the register lady at my local supermarket. Any comments I’ve had on it since have only been positive, and it’s just really nice to hear nice things being said ^_^
