took me a little bit, but all the lichens I’ve collected for the herbarium so far have been marked with location/date/annotations and VERY carefully packed up for their trip being shipped home. the carni conference ends tomorrow, and then my mom and I are gonna drive up and hang out in some of the serious redwood forests upstate a little ways, where I’ll def ask a ranger if I can collect some more. box won’t be closed and shipped off until the end of the trip, but this way if any of them break at least all the pieces will be semi-contained. the other option would be to bring the box with me on the airplane…
