the-movie-that-was-never-made:
I’m so tired of feeling judged for still living at home at 22. I’m working as hard as I can and I’ve got a lot of mental crap to deal with. You don’t know what someone else is going through.
I’m almost 24 and I still live at home and will for the foreseeable future. Don’t let it get you down Spilly, our generation averages living with their families until their 30s.
I’m also living at home at 22. No money.
I’m 23 and still live with my parents. It’s better when you know you’re not alone.
25 and still stuck with them.
I was kicked out at 18 after high school. Get a job, get roommates. Four people flipping burgers clears over $60k nearly tax free. If you can’t live on that you are a failure in life.
even your parents thought you were too fuckin annoying to keep in the house
You know what? I’m 30 and live at home. Moved back at 28 when I switched careers. I’m not making quite enough to afford rent in my area (a ROOM rents for $900/month here or more). Rents are ridiculous especially if you are single and have no one to share income with
There really shouldn’t be shame in this. Lots of people struggle for different reasons, and having your own place to live shouldn’t be a standard for how well you’re doing.
